Paul Fridlund’s journey has taken him across the continent and back again. He started his life in Southern Wisconsin, where he grew up and went to college. It was after several years with the family company that he decided to look for something new.
That new thing was Pilgrim’s Way. Upon coming to California, Paul started working for his mother at the bookstore. There were a couple detours along the way, but with the help of the store Paul ended up finding not only a home and a business, but also a wife. Pilgrim’s Way has given him the freedom to explore other avenues life including Tai Chi Chuan (of which he became a sifu “teacher”) in ’94, and a reignited interest in the natural world.
Cynthia Fernandes was born in San Diego County, where she learned at an early age the value of questions, the written word, and, most of all, imagination.
Through years of searching and exploring for knowledge, Cynthia’s journey lead her to Northern California. After a successful stint in Silicon Valley, she found her way into Pilgrim’s Way and a life with Paul.
The word “Pilgrim” is defined as a truth seeker, and that couldn’t be more fitting that for these two.
