Pilgrim’s Way- What “gift” do you recommend to people that you feel is a gift to the world?
Cynthia- Miguel Ruiz “Four Agreements” because to change the world we start with ourselves. This book is brief clear and practical. I’m looking forward to reading his newest book, “The Fifth Agreement”.
PW- What motivated you to become part of the staff at Pilgrim’s Way?
C- To share a life with Paul and to be part of a growing community of Life and Nature lovers.
PW- Where did you grow up?
C- Southern California.
PW- What did your mother and father do?
C- My Dad was an incredibly creative person. He was a fisherman and an artist having grown up in the islands, but for trade he was a roofer, bus-driver, and his last business was machinist and tool & dye maker. My Mom was a fabulous gardener and cook when she was the primary homemaker.
PW- What was your most memorable job?
C- Well, probably when I was a glass blower; but I really like driving a for lift too!
PW- What is your favorite book or author and why?
C- I have so many… I love a book that can meet me where I am and take me on a journey to a more expansive place. I want to have an experience that I come back to my world changed. I guess one of those books for me was Dan Millman’s “The Way of the Peaceful Warrior”. It’s old now but nevertheless powerful.
PW- What is you favorite word?
C- Harmony.
PW- What is your least favorite word?
C- Can’t.
PW- What turns you on?
C- People who are fully alive.
PW- What turns you off?
C- Complacency.
PW– What sound or noise do you love?
C- The sound of birdsong in the open air.
PW– What sound or noise do you hate?
C- In-authenticity.
PW– What profession, other than your own, would you like to attempt?
C- Writing or Teaching.
PW– What profession, other than your own, would you not like to attempt?
C- Government work.
PW– Finally, if heaven does exist, what would you like to hear God say when you enter the Pearly Gates?
